Hi folks,
I've been looking at my logo lately and wondering if it could do with a revamp www.geti.cc , or do you think there is some mileage left in it yet? Many thanks

The 'titanium' under GETI could be a little crisper. I am not sure how the woman with the red hair 'holding a secret' fits into it.
I think you could make better use of the click here where you put your mouse on the 'click here' and the page 'peels' away to reveal 'Click to have a drink on us' Right now it appears that you are using that get people to recommend you (that is good) I think its better directed at actually converting people who aren't your customers yet and then once you do; THEN give them the incentive to recommend you in the shopping cart (post sale), or via e-mail after they receive the item.....just a thought, but overall I like that 'peel away' effect up in your header. |

Agree and disagree.
The disagree part is the peel away. Still don't like it. Lacks professionalism IMO and doesn't fit the overall impression the site is delivering. There are better places or uses for it. I like the logo myself and agree the "titanium" should be crisper if it's going to be there. Overall I think the header itself is too busy and crowded. I'd tidy it up a bit by removing what really doesn't need to be there and give it just a bit more room. Dave Last edited by crankydave; 11-05-2008 at 09:03 AM. |

For me the logo looks awkward. The Ti is larger than the GE (or at least visually it is) and this looks weird. Then the horizontal bars above and below the GE further increase the size illusion problem. The horizontal lines also extend out farther to the left than the G for no apparent reason. I also have trouble undrstanding how I'm supposed to read it.
Is it pronounced: GeeEeeTeeEye GeeEee Tie Get Eye Getti I assume it's a contraction of Get Ti but how would I know? The redheaded woman whispering to me is also confusing. In short I'm having a hard time understanding your brand. Do you sell ring making equipment or the rings themselves? Both? Wholesale or retail? Can I order a ring from you? These are the questions that immediately pop into my head. |

Thank you everybody for taking the time to review my logo.
The woman with the red hair isn't part of the logo but merely meant to entice visitors and encourage them to click on her and so be taken to our special offers page - she seems to work quite well. I agree with crankydave that it looks a bit cluttered, so it may look better without the little boxes around the 'Inspiration in Titanium' wording - I'll give that a try. I think the issue about the 'TI' being bigger than the 'GE' is more of an optical illusion, but I must admit it does look bigger - I never really noticed before. I pronounce it Getty when I answer the phone. That took me ages to get used to after answering it as 'Greenfield Engineering ' for 10 years, even now I still get confused - old age I suppose All in all though, I think I will keep it and, as suggested, remove some of the unnecessary bits. Thanks again.

Update:
I've now modified the logo by removing the small boxes around the 'Inspiration in Titanium' text, which I think has made it look less cluttered - I also updated the skin of the site a little. What do you think?

“Have you ever considered having alternative metal inlaid Titanium wedding rings? Pewter, Bronze, Copper, Tin - we can do it! Just ask”.
I think “Have you ever considered having alternative metal inlaid Titanium wedding rings?” does not read as well as it might: “have” and “having” so close in the same sentence; and the sense of “metal inlaid Titanium wedding rings”. So, here is a suggestion: “Ever considered alternative-metal, inlaid, Titanium wedding rings?” Regards, David. |

Well the logo is not that is nice. So your selling ring on that site. It so interesting to browse that kind of site. Before I get married I'ved been searching same kind of site to look for a wedding ring, but the price is to much for our budget. You have a nice site.
