I am no graphics person by any means, just programming..

I created this logo for my freelance "company" 53mp.com or "A 53 Minute Production"

Here are two examples, it works pretty well in almost every colors, but the only background colors that it is currently being used on is white and blue, as shown here. I only really use it for my invoices and in the footer of a couple websites.

Since it's supposed to represent a clock, why not just make the leap and put it inside a border? This way it won't matter what colour the logo is placed on, it'll always look the same.

Well I didn't want anything with a lot of graphics in it, like a clock border.. Not only that but putting even a black circle around it will make it look really weird. You know... K.I.S.S.

The word "production" isn't separated from "a 53 minute". It's bad for reading. The letters just glue together even if they're in different colors. Add spacing or some lines...

The red... thing... is now pointing to approx. 24 minutes. Why not point it to 53?

If you use it on blue, yellow will look good. Add some yellow.

5 and 3 should be closer together and 'a' and 'minute' further apart from 'Production'.

I understand your idea, but I would take the "A" out and invert the word production so it's readable. So curves aside the logo would read:

53 minute
Production

An uppercase 'A' would do the trick without ruining your concept. Flip production rightside up and keep the word wrap and your all set

Good effort. I agree with the others about the border and the spacing. Another suggestion may be to flip the direction of"production" so it reads left to right. Would be easier to interrupt.
