My 1st Logo review

Hello All,

I am new to your forum and from what I have seen in my readings the advice you provide to others is rather amazing so I would like to thank you all in advance for your assistance.

I am starting a new company and without stating what it is that we do I would hope and expect that the logo itself makes that clear so I will hold off on any details until later.

We just put this together and this particular graphic is the logo that has been sized for my e-mail signature but the logo itself is the same. I will use the logo for my print work, website and embroidered shirts and hats.

Any and all advice would be appreciated.

I like the logo. It is very clean and the fonts used give you the look and feel of the islands. I would however change the size and color of the text on the bottom line. It was difficult for me to read at the size you show.

Thank You... you actually picked-up on the intent of the font we used so I am glad to hear that... you also keyed in on an element we are currently still deciding on... the TAG LINE in the logo. It has a tendancy to not scale down well so I am considering seperating it from the logo and just adding it as I see fit with text in the same font and color

I'd suggest using the green instead of blue for the graphic and the tagline. Try moving the satellite to the right of solutions instead of between the words. I also think you would benefit from an easier-to-read font for the small type. A more modern sans-serif font helps to say "technology" - it also provides a nice contrast with the friendlier font.

It's probably easier to show you. I think I got this inserted correctly.

Jane... thank you so very much for the critique and going as far as to show me an actual example... extremely nice of you!!!

I like somethings and I am not sure about others but you have definitely made me think

I very much like how your logo design is "tighter" but when we worked on the logo it was pointed out that if the dish wasn't slightly big, when it was put on a shirt or hat it would look like a dot or smudge, so I need to play with some printouts to see.

I think I like the green better than the blue and a font change as well but I'm not sure I like the Sans Serif fon't... the 1st comment I got when I showed my coworkers was that the tag line now draws you attention and eye instead of anything else.

I am curious about your thoughts on the inclusion or exclusion of the tag line...

I could see your point about the satellite being small. I was having an issue with that even as I was doing it.

Try this: make the satellite graphic bigger and set it on the right. Then stack the two lines of text next to it. Make both lines the same length (by increasing/decreasing the size of the type or the spacing between letters)

I think you need the tag line...but maybe make the smaller and or thinner than the "Satellite Solutions" or make "Satellite Solutions" bolder.

Hi PIMS! Nice logo but I agree to noel_x99... I actually like noel_x99's version of your logo. Green text instead of blue...

Nice for a 1st logo

I think that you need to remove slogan "Your Island Technology Partner" from the logo and make "Satellite Solutions" text bigger.

And I think maybe it will be good to use blue color in "Satellite Solutions" text.
