Default Let me know your thoughts

Hello. I started up Barnabas Communications to provide some e-marketing assistance for telecommunications companies. The logo evolved really from the name of the website, i had decided on e-barnabas.com then sometimes in referring to the site i'd called it e-barn. i got thinking that one, being a place for resources for marketing, and two that marketing is about bringing in a different kind of 'harvest' that the barn theme might be appropriate after all. There's two iterations of the logo:

The simple:

The version with the name incorporated:

Default Good start

Not too shabby. I would think about changing the text though. I'm not exactly sure what it is your company does... but the kid-print type font doesn't scream professionalism. Also, I would suggest dropping the windmill... It just distracts from the rest of the image and doesn't really have anything to do with communications. Your simple version is good (although looks pixilated in the image you provided) I'd try to incorporate the text into your simplified version something like:

Otherwise looking good so far. Just a couple of tweaks should get you there.

Beakerbum, don't use Comic Sans - it's too juvenile looking and not appropriate for business.

Great addition of the dish, parallel.

Thank you for the feedback. Once you mentioned that about the font i looked at it a whole lot differently and you're right. I wondered about the windmill too, so i appreciate the comments.

Any suggestions for a good font?

Also, any suggestions on how to avoid the pixelation when creating a smaller one?

Default Font

The font that I used was Adobe Garamond Pro. I'd just play around with it a bit... Personally I just kind of pluck through my selection until I find something that is appealing and matches the overall feel of the logo. Stay away from anything too fancy and "handwitten" or "kid-print / Comicsans." There are several fonts out there that would work with your logo... just play with it and remember to keep it simple.
