Way too big and complex. The company name typography is okay, but the Arial slug line is too boring. If designing a coffee logo you should ask yourself, would Starbucks use this if they were designing a new logo? Sorry if this sounds harsh, but it's honest feedback.

doesn't sound harsh. I appreciate the feedback. Acutally starbucks has, what I would consider to be, a pretty complex logo.

I'm not looking to redesign starbucks logo, or even play on the same field as starbucks.

Maybe I should give a little background on the image... The back "crest" is the family crest of the owner... The bird is actually representation of his Amazon Parrot. It was decided that the tag line would be removed from the logo all together.

As far as size... I'm not sure I understand. Size depends on the media you're printing on... I obviously would not use the large image on a business card... and I feel that this logo hasn't lost much detail in the smaller versions.

Maybe you could be more specific. Do you think the small version is too large as well?

starbuck is complex in the center but overall a simple, concise, and professional looking logomark. Even the small 100x100 image you posted, it still looks good. Yours doesn't have a professional feel for a few reasons:
1. too many objects to focus on
2. the parrot doesn't look finished (why is the beak so well defined but the rest isn't)
3. There's too much dead space everywhere (big black box, big white anchor box.)

I'd get rid of the background, box enclosure, and anchor box thing w/ star. possibly keep the parrot. move beans to left of jB and shrink

OK... again the background (or deadspace as you are calling it) is the family crest... which isn't going anywhere. "the boxes" are formed together to make one crest.

I agree that the parrot could use some work.

Maybe I should have labled this as a packaging Label vs logo... LOL

Thanks for the feedback.

parallelworlds, where I really liked your design for the happy hooker, these are way too busy. I would pick one or two items and run with that.

And if you are interested with playing with an adult theme, let me know. :)

nice work over all tho.

Hey! Not sure yet. The site is in development. badgirlstuff .com. We have a few sites up now in the like space but this one we eventually want to be our flagship.

So we are open to anything that is good and reasonably priced. lol

Should look good on letterhead, shirts, hats, maybe even temporary tattoos, oh and banners for the trade shows.

I can be more vague if need be! :)

thanks

Michael

I like the big logo. I don't see where if you make it small a person would not have any problem with viewing it.

Hi,

Your theme is okay, but it appears to be somewhat big.

Is there any packaging strong enough to carry that logo?

I think you could use the elements in a slightly different way.

The beans are key - the family stuff is ego (which has to be there of course!)

So - how about using the beans at the size they are -and position the parrot and crest in the top of the v formed by the uppermost beans. That way the whole thing gets toned down a touch - the elements stay in place - but there will be more .... balance?

Just an idea
