Let me stir up the flames here.
This is obviously a logo for a website business. Is a logo necessary at the beginning or top of the website? The first thing one sees. What you say!!!!
Think through this with me. Aren't websites like a walk-in store where the people inside are more important? Shouldn't YOU be the most important element on a website, not the logo.
Shouldn't the overall content/navigation be the star. Not the logo even at the top of the website. What you say and how you say it is YOU. Then, sign off with the logo on another page with your address, phone etc.
In contrast, use your logo as primary communication on stationery, business cards, advertising (again on the lower corner, away from the content and design style.) Make it very secondary on the website. Not the primary communication you see on many websites.
This is an implementation issue which affects your overall brand image. Websites are a very important part of the brand image. But your website is primarily you, not your logo. Just like public relations/articles are about you, without your logo at all. Or you speaking to a group is about you, without your logo (unless it is secondary on the podium.)
