Hey there sfrendo

I like the very simple shapes you've used, and the choice of a limited palette with contrasting colour scheme. I think you may have been better submitting the logo and slogan together... as the house image on its own looks weak when it's separated from your site name and slogan.

So consequently when we see the image in isolation, I'm not sure the 'assistant' part of your services comes across in your logo. Also the image has been softened far too much, probably in an effort to appear warm and appealing... but instead we just get that fuzzy feeling! ;-)

Try using the house and roof as a solid shape instead of the transparent outline, and reduce the amount of embossing and drop shadow on the other shapes.

Look forward to seeing some other variations!

Paul

Sfrendo,
Sorry this one is going to be blunt. To build a strong memorable identity you have to be orginal. Webdings et al are great for bullets and school projects but they really stand like a sore thumb when used as a logo. The bevel and gradient tricks are fun - but cannot hide the basic concept which needs work. Give it another shot :)

Take care,

Grease

I'll agree with both Paul & Grease. The logo looks more like it should be a link image to 'home' on a site, and it could be a little sharper.

On looking at your site, I would have come down just a little with your title. There just seems to be too much white space under the title.

Just a suggestion, if you want to stay with the image of the house, I would make the image more transparent & overlay the title on top of the house.

But I do like the blue & orange.

Cheers

Mat
