Default LOGO done by an AMATEUR, what do you think?

HERE IS A LOGO DONE BY MYSELF I'M A WEB DESIGNER BUT NOT A LOGO DESIGNER BUT I DID ONE JUST FOR TRY FOR MY CUSTOMER THAT BOUGHT THE WEB DESIGN SERVICE.

LET ME KNOW IF IT'S OK OR IT'S TOO AMATEUR THEN I SHOULD HIRE A LOGO DESIGNER FOR $299.00?

Okay,
Not got a lot of time, so forgive if seems short!

Looks really nice, more of a picture than a logo!

Maybe change the font at the bottom (or indeed both) so that they match - a little too busy.

Consider printing costs - the shading of the sunrise/set and Tahiti Adventure font - will it cost you more for printing?

I think it looks great at large scale - perfect for T-shirts etc, but try it at small scale - ie bus card/letterhead and see if it looks too busy? Maybe that will lead you in the direction to chop out lots of detail and solidify it for a compact version for logo for stationery etc.

HTH!
Darren.

Stick with it - but a slight comment, make the list of activities clearer and make the Landrover blend in more, it looks stuck on as an afterthought.

Consider who it is aimed at and what is the point.

Its bold, it gets the message and the name of company, it looks sort of tahiti'ish so that bit works, it looks warm and inviting. It also gets the attention which is surely ultimately all you can ask for and no, it doesn't look amateurish!

Default Tahiti Adventure Logo

Sorry, but yes it looks like the work of an amatuer.
It's way too busy. I like the typefont though.

Consider two options:
1. drop all the clip art (including the pidgeons) and drop the greyscale 4w drive vehicle picture.
raise the point size on the tagline.
2. do that and then add back in as a layer in the back of adventure some liene art, but not silouette, single larger scale image that shouts what you are about (eg. where most of your revenue and profit comes from - waves on beach, or dolphins?).

When you are done, print the logo at the smallest everyday size that you are likely to use.
Does it turn into a blob? Can you still read it?
Also, build a black and white version of the logo, it's a lot cheaper to copy in some situations.
So it's good to have both a color and black and white version.

Best wishes,

I like it a lot but I think it qualifies more as a graphic than a logo.

I like it too...but I wouldn't necessariy consider it a logo.

You do have to consider printing costs with a logo. And resizing. This won't resize well. However, I don't think you need the tagline on the logo.

The landrover does seem stuck on. I don't mind the silhouettes. The font on the tagline does seem out of place.

Something also bothers me about the d in adventure and where it hits the H in Tahiti. I almost feel like I'd like to move Tahiti so it sits on either side of the D.

I think the idea is workable. I've said this in a few other posts too...but if you can make it work in one or two colors, you can then add colors and shading to dress it up.
