Default New logo design

Please give any comments and feedback you feel necessary for the logo I've just finished for spunpuppy.com. I've reworked our last failed attempt from the ground up, and am hoping that this version is more to the point.

Thanks in advance

I like the circle with the dog and the glasses and the tongue hanging out - not so sure about the text tbh. I had to concentrate on reading it (head tilted etc) so wondered if it wasn't clear enough what it was saying. Of course if I had read your post before looking at the logo I would have known instantly. :-)

Thanks for the input... I easily forget that I already KNOW what the logo says...

I've made an adjustment to font size, style and position. Does it help the readability?

It does 'appear' to be easier to read now - of course I now know what it says!

I wonder if you made the shadow on the text a little lighter/more transparent so that it is not getting in the way of the actual text?

Just a thought..

Jabber_uk:

I appreciate all the help. I think this is right about where it needs to be for my purposes at this point. I agree about the drop shadowing, and have lightened it by 25%. It won't be shown at all in some cases anyway.

Time to move to site design and advertising media....
