Fivespin Logo. Please comment / review.

Hi all,

I am a part time house/lounge music DJ as well. (besides my love for the web and SEO :-)).

Please check out these logos (the RadioPhive is a concept for the future) and let me know your views. I was going to get some biz cards done, but before that... I figured I'd get the skinny on design, right here.

I like both of your logos, nice job.

The only input I have on the first one is readability. I'd recommend rotating only the text 90 degrees counter-clockwise so "Five Spin" is straight up.

Actually, I spent over 3-4 hours on the fivespin logo, and definitely tried the text 90 CCW, as well. But, decided to go with more of a 'look hard to figure it out' look, instead. And, also wanted the fivespin, not to stand out much, but have an almost 'numeral letters effect' (spinning all the time, around the clock....kinda jist)

On the RadioPhive logo what is the top part of that logo? Looks something like syp vs spy would do.

Hi there,

The top part of the logo is V (roman numeral 5) and a gramophone, signifying sound/radio.

nice. I agree on the not so hard to see look. it makes the customer curious and furious. which makes them remember. like when you drive down the street and see a billboard ad upside down and you spend the next five miles thinking how stupid geiko is for doing that. then realize you spent five miles thinking about it. spending another five thinking "damn there good". anyway. I would try to paste a light grey copy of the text behind and rotate it slightly in the opposite direction you want the text to spin. gives the effect of motion... good luck

when i first saw the fivespin logo,
i took time reading it.
thus it causes problem.
the second one is good.
