Default Aloha Music International

Here's the logo that is in review for our music division.

Aloha Music International is a division of the Islander Group. AMI is the world's largest wholesale distributor of Hawaiian music with over 1,500 titles in its catalog. We have a customer base of over 3,000 vendors worldwide who carry our titles and when we created the name for the music division, the tag line. "Spreading Aloha Around the World" was born and the corporate heads thought they needed its own logo as well. Hence my design.

There is currently two other logos in review as well, though, I didn't create them and they are being submitted by an outside firm.

I should also add, this logo will only appear in print media (i.e. business cards, letterheads, brochures, print ads...)

Thanks and take care!

Default Flame Design

Hi JawaiianBoi,

I see where you are going with this. You have some great ideas! For an more effective logo, I have a few suggestions to refine things a bit. Keep in mind, when you are building a brand image, that each element you add is an additional element your potential customers have to remember. Keep it simple. The globe alone has more lines than I would recommend for a logo. Your photoshop effects and complex floral pattern are cool (and great for enhancing your promotional materials) but distract from the general shape and recognition of your logo. I would love to see only one enlarged flower.

Take Care,

Grease

Thanks G!

I see what you mean, and I am actually going to take out the aloha print pattern in the ami logo, and use only one flower to replace the globe. In case anyone is wondering about the color scheme. Red and Blue are the colors of the Hawaiian flag.

Hi,
I think that the "ami" part of the logo should be in black. Keep the blue and red in the name of the company and use the idea of the flower for the dot on the i. I would also make the font for the phrase at the bottom smaller. It is a catchy motto, but you want people to remember the company name, not just the motto, and my eye was drawn first to the motto when I first looked at it.
Also, what you have submitted here is large, even as a letterhead. It would take up almost a third of the page.
You do have a good start on the design! Hope to see what you end up with!

Default your logo

I think it is great. The logo is quite large and could be reduced a bit. It is however distinctive and memorable.
