It does look snazzy but there are similar logos to this already. Graphically it doesn't make much sense unless you have two light sources hitting the logo? I've had a look at your site and although it is a relatively good logo it is way too big on the page. You've used a template too haven't you because I've seen that header flash before?

1) I've questioned the size of the logo myself. Thank you.

2) You are correct. The flash header is based upon a template. However, the web site itself has been created solely by myself, and when started was my first major effort. Still learning new things every day, as we all are.

3) The light source comment made me laugh, lol.

Hi A.

What image are you trying to communicate about oil-net.com? This logo doesn't say much to me - colors, the glares, the fades, the background.

Also, I'm worried that if you were to ever publish this logo in a newspaper or other b/w print ad, the gradiant fades and glares would not show very well.

The glare effect that is over the o and m makes the logo hard to look at. Why not have the lines continue in this space like it is on the rest of the logo?
