GameShow Productions Logo
Ok.. I found this website (AWESOME!!!!) and figured what the hey, I might as well add my logo for review. It is for GameShow Productions, which is a future company producing gaming videos just for people to watch :P No money involved whatsoever. So if you would be so kind to check out my logo below and leave a review, I would be SOO HAPPY!! :p Thanks a million -Anthony

Re: GameShow Productions Logo
Anthony you have 3 different font colors in your text. To me it does not look good like this.

Doesn't really say game show to me. The mouth doesn't look right, the angle of it conflicts with the illusion of the face being rounded. The text is all blocky too.

Updated
Ok.... Thank you for the responses, I updated it a lil bit to make it look more 'gamer' type.
Also I changed the text, it is very hard to find a good text that works when you scale it :s
Thanks

i didn't see the first one...
...but this one is cute. The fonts need to be changed - "Productions" is too thin, and I don't love the dark blue outline around "Game Show".
I'm also worried that the mic on the headpiece is too thin or misplaced; it doesn't seem to quite "fit". Try expermienting with modifying the shape, size, or even color.
I like the concept - although I can't really think of any game shows where people where headsets! :)

Looks a lot better. You might not even need the mouth in the logo. If you make the text vector based then you can resize it without losing any of the quality.

Its when u make an object controlled by points and lines. When they are resized they all move in proportion with each other so you dont lose any of the quality. That's how I made the munkyonline logo.

Y'know first time I looked at the logo I wondered why the microphone was over his nose. Then I realsied it was a mouth. The mouth curls round too much.
Overall it's quite nice, but doesn't say 'game show'. It says 'Stage manager of a game show', perhaps - which is maybe what you want...

I'm not sure if he means game show as in 'who wants to be a millionare' or if he means shows about PC gaming. If it was PC gaming then that would explain the headset. Otherwise like others have said, I don't associate headsets with tv game shows.

I make mine using Macromedia Fireworks. You save it as a PNG fle then export it as a jpg/gif. Look on the Macromedia website for a price:

Send me an e-mail if you have any more questions =)

Judging by the type font under the logo I assume you did not design the logo yourself. If it is so, make sure you have the rights to use it.

ok
Hi,
Ok your on the right track...it just needs a little push. I wish I could see the rest of your web site, but thats cool. As far as vector goes...Photoshop is based on DPI "dots per inch". It uses picture type quality in all work. For instance if you make a cool logo in photoshop and then zoom in you'll notice it will blur. Now Adobe Illustrator uses whats called vector format. Vector uses mathmatical calculations to determine the lines and colors of an image. So if you create a logo in Illustrator and zoom in you'll notice no matter how far you zoom the logo will still be crisp and clean. Thats why, I feel, all logos should be created in Illustrator first. So anyway back to your logo. I'll make you a deal...you can have the logo at the bottom for free if you post my link somewhere on your web site. Sound good? Let me know...Thanks
thanks

Re: ok
Went from the smiley face to an alien face. Big change. I like the smiley face, would there be any way of keeping the smilely face, not the same but a front view like you have for this one?

I think the text looks good on Panther's logo but the face looks better as a 'smiley' rather than an alien. I'd try and come up with something that is more obvious.

Maybe putting both of the good together and seeing what comes out?

Sometimes they just log on and see what is said, take what they want to use and than leave. I guess the only way for us to see if he used anyting that is said is to go to his site and take a look. :)
