Default The Nassau-Suffolk TRAID Center

Can you review the N/S TRAID Logo please? The N/S TRAID Center is an assistive technology information and referral service for those with disabilities.

Not too bad...looks a little busy though. Don't just stick to one, when I do logo's I usually design between 10-20 to give the client more of an option.

FrankieBoombatts,

Thanks for your comments. This logo has been used on the site for at least a year now. Is it really a good idea to use other logo's? Especially speaking that many identify the logo w/ the company in a special way?

On a side note, I actually am from Suffolk County...lived on L.I. for the first 18 years of my life...

I didn't know that had been up there that long. I guess if the client likes it then theres not much we as designers can do except try to persuade them into paying us to design a better one. In this case, obviously only one is needed.

Yeah thats definitely a fact that people identify the logo with the company. The logo should best reflect that company as well. Looking at the website (I had neglected to look before) the logo goes very well with the rest of the site. I am not sure I am familiar with the TRAID center but I am sure the logo reflects the company. Good job my friend!

I too am from Suffolk County in East Hampton. I am President of the East End Special Players, Inc and we produce theater for the learning disabled. http://www.eastendspecialplayers.com. I would be interested in knowing more about your services.

too many fonts and not enough imagery imo. As to whether it is worth changing the logo, you must have been considering it if you decided to post it up for review!

FrankieBoombatts,

It's funny that you and roban are from Suffolk. I appreciate the complements.

roban,

jkomp,

I think you may be right about too many fonts. Which one do you recomment dropping?

The Nassau-Suffolk font was overused in the late 90's so it lends a "dated" feel to your logo. The brush font in "The" and "Center" look like a child's handwriting so you lose the professional feel you might be going for.

Pick two complimentary, fresh fonts and the result could be a clean trendy look.
