I think the purple Vital part is a little to big. I don't know if you need it that big.

It's not really a logo - see the sticky at the top of this forum. Will 'Vital' be used alone? Are the fruit gums part of it?

I'd say that it is a logo.

It doesn't matter what the design looks like (to an extent) - it's the post-design branding and how you market it that counts. :)

I disagree with Eagle Imagery. This doesn't look like a logo to me at all but some words with jelly beans next to it.

The logo is the purple part to the left.

True enough though - the beans are distracting the viewer from the logo. :)

Is the logo is the word "vital" in the purple box or does it include the tagline to the right? If it's just the purple box, it seems to be lacking in identity.

Stupid question - What are the jelly beans for?

(Website tip - slow your scrolling message box down!)

Is this an identity?...

www.gap.com

Of course it is. It's the branding that counts, not the graphic (or lack of).

I would say that everything you see on top is part of the logo. Do you need all that info in it? Depends on what you want it to do. Anyways after looking at it a few times I think all of it sort of will grow on someone that will see it all of the time.

Default P L E A S E slow down the text, I'm getting dizzy...

The vital in the purple box doesn't say much to me, but then again it gets drowned out by the speed racer scrolling text and the jelly beans.

The "product solutions" competes with the logo as well, being the same size and font. You might consider changing the font of that, as well as "because you need the right advice", if you want your logo to stand out.

It looks as if all that at the top including the jelly beans are the logo. But if you look at the favicon icon the only parts included in the that are the 'vital product solutions'.

So the logo is the purple box and the text. The jelly beans just confuse the site visitor and have no relevance at all. It is a good idea, and a lot of companies have chosen to add in some really bright colours - like the BT logo but it really doesn't work in this instance.

The 'product solutions' section looks good as the same size as the 'vital' part so I would keep that. Looks nice and clean, could say a bit boring and a bit too large though.

The 'because you need the right advice' looks lost, especially as it's greyed out. Looks cheesy too, i'd lose that.

If you wanted to keep those jelly beans, then you could try and find a way of using those with the text instead of the purple box?

Thank you all for your time and comments on our logo.

I have to agree that the purple box is a bit boring, we went for the colour purple as it is a colour that is not often used and the box was used to keep the design very simple.

The jelly beans were used to provoke the thought of not being 'product specific'.

We have had design issues with the logo as it is very wide and can restrict its use.

We are a small business, we do not have a corporate identity. Although we decided from very early on that we needed to provide potential new clients with a snapshot of what we do. Hence the reason for the 'Because you need the right advice'.
Why not use the slogan?

We use this logo/banner/identity on everything, we simply dont have the resource to do otherwise.

Why would a potential new client find the jelly beans distracting?

Why cant this be a logo? I have to agree with Eagle Imagery on this on!!

Is it too late to commit ourselves to a new design?
we have been running for a year now.

I think they do this too much. It would maybe be better to give more of an example of what products you do work with.

Even more reason to lose the jelly beans or the purple box. This would make the logo shorter.

Right advice about what? This slogan still doesn't say what you do.

Because it's the most eyecatching object on the page. My eyes go straight for the jelly beans as they're the most colourful. That's why I think you should blend them more into the text so that your drawn towards the name as well.

It can and is a logo. It's just too big at the moment.

Don't start you tag line with BECAUSE.

I don't think anyone needs an advice on the flavour of the jelly beans, this is the area people can handle without professional help, thus rendering your company useless from the start.

Perhaps if reviewgolf.com had read our website he would of discovered that "I don't think anyone needs an advice on the flavour of the jelly beans" this is exactly what we help our clients with!

Care to explain why you should not start a tag line with because???

We are about to start our second year and the company is going from strength to strength.
