I'm not sure whether you want comment on the text or the graphic or both?! :)

The blue is fine but the yellow is slightly garish against the white background. Maybe drop it onto a darker background and see what happens. The graphic leaves me cold... it's functional but only just. I can see what you're getting at but it doesn't really say 'basketball'! What about using the team's 'Express' text style? It would add a touch more dynamism. :)

It's also slightly too wide to fit into an 800x600 browser window without the viewer having to scroll right to view the whole page. Aim for around 700-740 pixels wide.

I'd agree that the logo would benefit from a font change, and to follow the style of the jersey would feel more "natural" for this site.

Consider using a different typeface for the slogan, that particular type is a bit eye-bending at high screen resolutions.

Could you superimpose a basketball ofer the star on the state map? That would more solidly brand the logo as related to the sport.

I woudl deffently look at changing the slogon font.. it is hard to read. Also the yellow is is a bit hard on the eys on the white back ground.

How about blue letters with yellow outline. Would look like your jerseys.

I agree with the other guys. The yellow does make it hard to read. Maybe on a background it might be better?
