Flame Design
Hi Philip,
I think that your logo has a lot of potential. Please consider the follow suggestions to help you improve your image:
1)Your logo has no focal point causing the viewers eyes to jump about without a logical starting place.
Drastically reduce the number of visual elements.
2)There are certainly exceptions, but generally speaking, thin lines/digramatic illustrations do not make strong visuals. Consider a more solid shape for balance and shape.
3)Your logo lacks unity and balance. Every element stands on its own. Try to Draw your text and visual(s) together. One strong visual is always better than many weaker visuals. Pick or create your favorite and go with it.
4)The horizontal 490X65 'banner' shape is a common mistake for new logos. Although you many be thinking
"I'll get a logo and banner in one" your need to consider that fact that our eyes are bombarded by this shape daily and are trained to ignore these Ads. You certainly do not want this for your own website!
I hope these suggestions help,
Take Care,
Grease
