Because "silver" online is grey and frankly not a good color.
Thanks for the responses.
Edited to add: My original logo, some years back was a chrome, beveled 'silvery' beast. It looked fine online, but didn't print with any quality. It was also frankly dated.
I went sometime without any logo and finally took my old logo back to the drawing board to come up with something cleaner. I didn't want silver/grey, because of the blandness that it can be.
We wanted to use some dynamic, energetic colors (previous versions of the site included a mellow green, or relaxing lavendar coloring), since it seems the previous schemes relaxed visitors into 'non' action. ;)
Anyhow, thanks again.
