Any thoughts on the following design?

It's very pixellated and low quality... The text is hard to read and too small in comparison to the large mark there. In general drop shadows won't work on logos unless you are only going to be using it on a web site, same with bevels.

I'd try it again and make the text larger in comparison to the mark, and make it more simple without the bevel and drop shadow.

I have to agree with derek. If you can I would recommend working in a vector program (Illustrator) to develop your logo, if you would like to be able to use it for more than online stuff.

Perhaps reducing the size of the mark and increasing the size of the font, would help, in addition to creating a smoother line.

Font is to small for what else you have there.
