Default Logo for Fire Training Materials Site

I know our logo probably needs a makeover. I continue to struggle with my husband to get something simple that people can remember however he is "the boss".

Our company sells firefighter books, videos, CDs and other training materials to department throughout the US.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Default Your Logo

Melanie,

Actually, I don't think the logo is too bad. Obviously, someone in my field wouldn't understand the logo. But, I'm not your target audience either.

I think it is a solid design, perhaps a little cluttered, but it definately gives a civil service feel. I'm assuming that is what the boss was going for?

The key question is whether it fits into all of your materials. Business cards, letterhead, envelopes, ads and such.

If it works in all of them, keep it. If not, then an update would help.

Hope my few cents helps.

Thanks for your input. Yes, it is my husband who likes it so busy. He tends to think more is better when I am pretty concise and to the point. We will probably still with it because it does serve our "niche" market pretty well.

I would have to agree with you. I think it is a little cluttered. Also the top and right don't blend very well with the black background.

Possibly simplifying and working the url into the logo, or as a tag line would help, the only way to find out at the moment is to look at the address bar?

I've seen a hell of a lot worse though!

What do you mean by "working the url into the logo"? Are you saying work "www.4-help.org" into the graphic?

The logo looks like a coat of arms. What clan are you from? Just looking at the logo I would never have guessed what you sell. It looks to busy.
