If you take a look at my "logo" at this point it is really just text... I'm not even sure that it really qualifies for a logo.
At the top of the page: Web of Opportunity I basically have the White on Navy thing going with an Arial Font. I did put a lot of initial effort into choosing the Font. None seemed to satisfy me except Arial. What do any of you think? For what I'm doing does this work or should I go through the trouble of designing a fancy logo? Thanks for you thoughts in advance!

Hi!
You current logo is very simple and you use standard font... I can't call it logo... Try to use another font and show new logos here... Good logo can completely change look of your website and make very good first impression. Good luck! Vitaly.

Hi There,
Sometimes simple is fine, so if you'd prefer to keep your straight text logo, do so. However, one thing that you should do is review your font options. The font you are currently using has very jagged edges as it is not properly outline. Experiment with other fonts that will give your Title a cleaner and more polished look. Best of luck, |

Hey everyone! Thanks for the comments!
I had forgotten all about starting this thread and just found it again. When I originally set up this site I was really focused on content (still am) and keeping things as simple as possible. I didn't want to spend a lot of time making it pretty until I knew what direction I was going with it. Content first; good looks later. I did spend some time playing around with the Font and chose Arial... I guess I again wanted to remain simple or not take any risks. I also was always worried about load times and didn't want to fiddle with graphics etc... But I imagine a small logo won't hurt much. I do look at my pages and they don't have a lot of flare and I know a logo could spice it up and give my site a professional touch I may not have now... I tell you what. You've all inspired me. I'm going to work on a logo over the holidays and come back here to get your opinion. I'll see if I can find that creativity I buried long ago... Thanks again everyone!
