The use of the "registered" symbol is an excellent idea, and when combined with your expressive name it is perfectly emblematic of what it is you do. I would, however, have the "R" be the same size as the rest of the characters and, perhaps, be more graphically distinctive.
A couple of things are bit irksome about this logo design. The beveled rectangular base has a somewhat amateurish look to it, and the text doesn't adequately fill the space. I.e., the NAMEDESIGNER element is too small given the size of the beveled rectangle that encloses it. Because the characters that comprise the name are not anti-aliased, they appear jagged. In addition, an all upper-case word takes more effort to read than a lower-cased or mixed case word. This readability issue is particularly important with your site because the URL is actually members.chello.at, and your visitors don't have the address bar of their browser as a secondary reference to the enterprise name. I'd strongly encourage that you use of a high-end, professional graphics program when creating such images. A good program will also come in handy for the optimization of the other image elements on you site. Most specifically, the background images of you that adorn each page.

Your "Name" is very good!
Being introduced to an unknown person, I will still know who that person is afterwards. Even if I forget the name (which happens very often to me) I will still remember the face. I agree with you that a good, appropriate name is very effective. But the visual perception is much faster and has a deeper impact on the receiver. Creating a symbol which sybolizes "Name" and "Designer" (which, I know, is a challenge) would give your logo not just a nice picture, but also increased credibility. Based on credibility principles logos containing a symbiotic relationship between symbol and name are more efficient. Viel Erfolg!!
