Default Flame Design

Hi Stampdad,

You have some nice stamp scans, however I would not feel comfortable with this image as a logo. A high-impact logo is much more simple and memorable. If you changed the text around would your vistors still be able to tell its you? Your logo should have a tight composition that triggers recognition before the words are even read. Obviously the stamp will play a critical role in your logo, however you need to really simplify...try to come up with a unqiue stamp visual and a powerful typeface to match your postition. Your current logo has a beautiful decorative image, but a plain font - who is your customer and what image are you trying to portray? Does your customer value antiquity - if so why not a old style font. Is your stamp collector loves limited edition contempory stamps then perhaps a modern sans serif, such as Avante Garde would look great.

Take Care,

Grease

I agree with the previous comments. The concept of using the stamp image is right in line with your business, however perhaps you would have better luck starting with the outline of a stamp and working from there.

Also, remember that you may have a need to re-size the logo for different applications. This will definitely affect the finished design.

Thank you grease and Ardeona for your comments. I will take a stab at changing the font and see what it looks like. I would love your input again once I have changed things.

Dave.
