Default Review this "banner" graphic?

I have been using the below banner graphic for several weeks. Kathleen made it and I kind of like it. But I would love some constructive comments about it. Does it attract people to our site, say we are fun and professional, and tempt a click? I find the graphics a bit grainy, but it is hard to do much better with such a small image. Your comments in addition to the poll would be nice.

Thanks,
Hugh

Looks good to me although I have to say I am not keen on flashing graphics although it puts across the message well. The only problem might be trying to make it bigger (if that's what you want to do).

1. I think I should have put this in the "view logo for review" thread. Sorry!

2. I wonder if you choose "view poll results" if you will no longer be able to vote. Vote first just in case!

3. We started with it larger, and it had more details in the pics, but it lost detail when it was shrunken down to a more reasonable "signature" size.

In my opinion the banner looks good.It is eye catching to the point and not so overwhelming (as some banner ads I have seen) But I am not one that responds to banner ads. I read what it says and if it isnt my thing I try to ignore them. I have a computer that is a dial up and whenever I click on banner ads I get booted off or better yet get that blue screen of death. (it is a dinosaur but it is paid for)

If you don't mind learning a bit about how your computer accesses web sites, you can use a "hosts" file to block TONS (80-90%) of online advertising. Basically you have to download a file named HOSTS and put it in a specific folder on your PC's hard drive. That's it! But you might have to edit the file if there are some ads it blocks that you want.

You can search for "hosts file" on google http://www.google.com/search?sourcei...8&q=hosts+file, or a great place to both learn everything you'll need to know in less than 10 minutes and also to download the hosts file is here: http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm

I heartily recommend this for all folks that are on dialup and are sick of waiting for banner ads to load.

Note it will not block "flash" banners, only regular graphics.

AuctionHugh
I dont mind learning about that. Anything I dont know now that I can learn only makes me one step ahead of where I am in the learning process.
Thank you for those informative links I have bookmarked them for further exploring
