Looks good to me. I honestly don't think I could do any better (but I'm not a web designer, I'm a web marketer).

I've seen a lot of logos in my time, and that looks pretty good.

Very nice.

I also use PSP 8. It offers a lot of great features.

Looks good. But I would change the font and put the text underneath, not in the middle.

Default Flame Design

I think your logo needs a little work.
Although the display is pleasant, it is not effective as a logo. A powerful logo is simple and reinforces the company name and image in a unique way. Generally speaking, photos and complex illustrations do not make memorable logos. How is University Auction different from standard auctions and how can you reflex this in your logo?

Your pic would do better as just a header, than logo.
Just my opinion..

Default Simple Graphics

Like Grease said "A powerful logo is simple... photos and complex illustrations do not make memorable logos". Here are some simple graphics. Hope this helps a little.

Default not flexible enough

Basically your logo shouldn't be used as a 'LOGO'. I feel complex images as logos are not flexible enough for the multitude of uses a logo is required for. eg. greyscale for newspaper, embroidery for uniforms / promo products.

It's a great image for use in brochures, web site, posters, etc - but should be used to link / complement a LOGO.

best of luck

Its very nice but you should work a bit more on the design to give a look more of logo. In my siggestion, try using the text below the pic, as its giving a look of more of a banner than a logo.
But now doubt good work.

Good Luck!
