Being in the process of a complete facelift, we have also redisigned our logo to

TCR stands for Tsindos Car Rentals but I think it is better not to spell it out on the logo.
Any suggestions?

Ok ... one small problem that I can see .. and please be aware that my logo was designed by somebody else ..you say you think it is better not to spell out the logo but IMO it might also be better to have the logo represent a bit more closely what you do.

If I was looking at this logo without any other information I would have absolutely no idea who you are or what you do.

Sorry if this sounds a bit blunt ... it does to me when I read it back but I can't actually think of another way of putting it.

"Blunt" is what I need.
I do understand that it needs to be "accompanied" by text to understand what it is all about. But then again, I do not intend to ever use it on its own. The feedback I wanted was basically on the colours, layout, etc. For example, do you think it's a good idea to put a car on the road? I don't really want to overdo it.

Thank you for understanding my "bluntness". I would try putting a car on the road and post it upside the original and see what people think. Remembering that if the logo is good this is what people will remember and associate with you. For example here in NZ when I think of Real Estate Agents the one that most readily comes to mind is LJ Hooker. They don't have a house in their logo anywhere .. they have a little girl holding a teddy bear and they have built an entire advertising campaign around this little girl. Why?? Because people remember her and feel good.

Colourwise I am not a great fan of pastels but that is just personal preference. I think they go well together here and tend to cover the spectrum of colours.
