Here is a working image:



It looks decent on the lighter background of this forum, but on the green background of your site it looks really jagged. See if you can antialias it some more and set the gif to blend with the green background.

See if you can do anything about that and I think you'll be good to go!

Aside from the quality of the image, its not a logo. If I couldnt read or understand english... would I still be able to associate that text with your site? No. You need to have something aside from text, a branding that will say thats YOUR site. And it wont matter if I can read the text or not.. I will know from the branding.

Matauri is right. A logo is more than just Text and few filters. A logo should add value to your name and business, and most importantly it should have meaning. A simple, original graphic element is the easiest way to do this.

True, some business can create very effective logos using only text. However the layout, colours, or text styles are very carefully choosen to present a unique memorable display. Unless you have a lot of experience in Typography, your best bet would be to stick with an integrated text/graphic composition.
