Default Trace Animation - Animated Logo

Hi Folks -

First post here. As our logo is animated, I hope you don't mind taking an extra second to click on the link. Pasting it here might not work.

www.traceanimation.com

The full web site should be up by this weekend (we are close). This will be our splash page (6 seconds long), which will take you to our home page. Hope you like the retro feel.

Looking forward to any comments - positive, or negative.

Thanks,

I'll repeat my disclaimer: I'm no graphics expert, so just consider this a layman's opinion.

I like the retro feel, very nice. I would either reduce the green blur effect of the green "neon light" or make that gif bigger so that you can't see the larger rectangle shape of the green gif. This might give a better sense that the green light is actually blinking (did that make sense?). Same thing with the roll over buttons on your site.

Again, very nice.

Very good. Its always good to make your logo glow or flash (like mine www.chestertourist.com bottom left)
It draws the attention.

Default Flame Design

I like the graphic at the top of your website.
As a logo, I don't think it is as effective as it could be. Do you think you could create a much more simplified version that would be used at any size/format? Each additional detail is an extra detail that your (potential) customer has to remember. There is no reason you cannot keep the same retro feel and the existing design elements on your page.

Take Care,
Grease
