Default Creative Candy...name change too?

Well I have been talking on the other boards, having my site completely revamped and they recommended I come see the experts. I created my logo myself using just some basic tools. We started out selling custom candy bar wrappers and have now spread into a full line of wedding supplies. I have chosen to keep the name because of local exposure but I am being told more and more it needs to change to reflect the wedding supply stuff. Well here it is...let me know what ya think

I don't think a name change is really necessary...

You need only to infer that you carry more than "candy" wrappers with your logo.... the candy bar/wrapper...whatever... has got to go...

Below are two simple examples utilizing only text elements including a statement of purpose.

Your business purpose is now delivered in a very small space. Utilizing a "wedding" type font... the chances are users will assume that you probably carry wedding supplies as well...

Just some thoughts....

Cheers,

Chris

Default Thanks

Hey Chris,
Thanks for the ideas. I checked out your website and you do some awesome work. I have another question for ya. I created my website color scheme around my old logo (green and blue). Any recommendations for color schemes that would convey the combined products I am trying to sell?

I would go with the color scheme similar to the second logo...... very simple and clean design that can be adapted to the entire site.

My recommendation would be simple, clean and white with pink and black highlights and matching text elements to carry the brand.... Your product pictures are enough color... and... keeping the color confined to the product images helps users ignore your aesthetics and concentrate on your products..

Cheers,

Chris

Default how about something like this?

Thanks again Chris. What do you think of this idea which is just a variation of your second design?

Its good.... Adjust the letter spacing in the word "candy" till it feels right.... (more difficult with serif fonts... )

Good job.

Cheers,

Chris.

Default Thanks again

Thanks again for all your help Chris. I never would have thought my website would go pink but since most of my customers are women it isn't such a crazy idea. I have changed everthing to match this new logo.

Take care
