Default midwest heart connection logo

I am not real happy with my current logo so I have been toying with the design. This is for a congenital heart defects support group. I am pretty partial to the image, but not sure how to tie in the name of the group. Any suggestions and examples would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

My current logo is still up at my site - address is in signature.

Hi

I really like this logo .. the only problem that I can see is that my eyes keep skipping over the heart and just reading Midwest connection.

Is there someway to make the heart stand out a bit so that it is unmissable.

Once I make my eyes go back and see the heart though I love it.

Cheers

Is this the dating site where Eddie Munster found a girlfriend...???

Looks a little ghoulish to me.... it may be the freshly stitched and barely out of surgery heart, or the murderous appearing post-helter-skelter text exclaiming ownership of the dasterdly deed of sewing Herman's future love's heart together.... sans the blood red color...

Ahem.... er...I digress... I actually think the heart graphic is quite striking.... lose the scrawly looking... "I'm about to die" text, replace it with a strong and elegant serif font and you've got yourself a very recognizable logo and icon that will serve the future branding and marketing needs of your organization... an official and formal text element is required to portray your real intentions.... saving lives....

Cheers,

Chris

Thank you ellar and chartsky for such quick and helpful comments. I truly appreciate the feedback. We definitely want to be taken seriously and the improvements will help.

I have made a few changes - what do you think? Where should the text be placed? right or left of graphic? Any suggestions?

Thanks again. I really respect and value your opinions.

Yep .. I definitely like this better. Now the heart stands out.

As to the placing of the text I would ask Chris about this. What I do know is that it is still not quite right but definitely a lot better.

Keep working hard ... it will suddenly all fall into place.

Cheers

Here are some examples.... I'm sure there are those among WebProWorld who could pull something better out of their heads but this will have to do....

I would reduce the size of the heart.... having it be huge does not make it more of a heart.... nor does it push the concept closer to home... The message is very clear already.... it can exist with the other elements as an equal partner...

You are on the right track. Keep going.

Cheers,

Chris.
