At the end of last week, we discussed the dichotomy of flash lovers, and flash haters. Today we'll be taking a look at another divide, this time in the world of internet marketing...

Traditional SEO vs. Social Media Marketing...ding ding...ding

I've always found it fascinating that we (as humans), generally see things in terms of winners and losers. Look around our society, and from the Talladega Nights movie; if you're not winning, you're losing. This is no different from internet marketing. Traditional SEO looked to be unshakable as the primary means of turning a profit on the internet. Inbound links, clever keyword usage ruled the day...

That was until a new kid showed up on the block, and like Mike Tyson did during his day will undoubtedly shake things up in the future. I'm of course talking about social media marketing. Some people are already swearing by it, and that page views, and quality links are flowing like a glorious fountain.

The question remains though, 'Who's the winner, and who's the loser?'. The answer is different no matter who you talk to, which leaves me feeling like both are winners. Huh? That can't be right, two winners? It's an insane notion, but in this case it's true.

While social media marketing is becoming a huge business, traditional SEO isn't going anywhere. For the 'seen' future anyway. What's better than siding yourself with one winner, supplementing that with another winner.

Search Engine Listing Problem

Changing Domain Name for 3 Year Old Site. Is My To Do List Correct?
Hi i have a problem on my website whereby if i search for it on any search engine (Tech-Reviews.co.uk), all of the pages on the websites have generic page titles. For some reason the title of each webpage seems to be ignored.

Could someone please have a look as no one has yet found a fix.

Thanks, Rhys

Site for Review http://www.cjhpropertyservices.com/

Please take a look at this site. I'm designing it for a neighbor as a favor to him. I'm not entirely sure I like the color scheme. Please be honest. The images are place holders. thanks

Is this malicious?

I was researching a site, (not my own), using the site: operator and noticed a page listed that contained the query string ?ref=HadiZayifla.Com. It piqued my curiosity and subsequent searches show a large number of urls with this query string. Does anyone know what this is? I know what a query string is, but what I don't understand is why something like "http://somesite.com/?ref=HadiZayifla.Com" would show up in a query of a site using the site: operator. Wouldn't this indicate a file sitting on the somesite.com server? The site HadiZayifla.Com looks like a legitimate portal type of site, but I don't know the language. Serbian?

SEO experts, worth the money?

Hi all, I've been reading all over about SEO work. We all read, we all learn. BUT, what about those SEO experts? have you tried any of their services?

Do you have any experience working on a site and then giving it to a SEO company or expert? was it worth the money? did they managed to grow traffic on the site?
