WebProWorld Members,

Happy Monday! I have some news for you all... I will be handing over my reins as the WebProWorld newsletter editor to someone else in the company. I'll still be around some, I've just been reassigned to some other projects. Hope you all don't miss me too bad! ;)

Our featured post today comes from susmita. Susmita needs help making a rank based performance evaluation model for SEO projects. Questions are: How many keywords to be chosen? What should be the pricing criteria for keywords? Long term contract or bill on monthly basis? How feasible is it to opt for a rank based model or should she propose a traffic based model and why? Click here!

As for the remaining posts, the first has some questions about using outbound links to increase page relevance. The second wants to know if they should put an alt in image text. The third has a database question.

How Do I Charge My Clients For An SEO Project?

How Do I Charge My Clients For An SEO Project?
Just help me out in making a Rank Based Performance evaluation model for SEO projects.

My client want us to bill them on Rank based performance criteria. That is if we agreed upon on few selective keywords we will bill our client only when keywords will rank in the first page of search engine.

Help me to prepare a specific pricing model:

1) How many keywords to be chosen
2) What should be the pricing criteria for Keywords i.e. should I charge high for a highly competitive keywords or I charge them a flat rate for all keywords irrespective of demand and competition.
3) Should I opt for a long term contract or should I bill them on monthly basis?
4) How feasible to opt for a Rank based model or should I propose them a traffic based model and why?

Any help on the above mentioned points will be well appreciated.

Should I input Alt text?

Would it help rankings?

I have placed some images with text and some without...

Should I bother adding alt text to the rest of them?

Well i'm not that familliar with all these backup services actually and I'm looking for a good and cheap schedule backup service.

I hyperlinked a site which I found while searching for this kind of services and I wanted to ask you if you think it's ok or should I be more skeptic and search for other services?
