WebProWorld Members,
Ahhh finally warm weather! Knowing how Kentucky is, it is probably just a tease for a few days then it will get cold again. But, I definitely don't complain about the warmer days. It is supposed to be in the 70s this weekend and I am super excited! My plan is to get outside and clean my jeep, I just can't do that when it is like 30 degrees out! I'm ready for swimming and cookouts! :)
Our featured post today comes from crankydave. He says he generally had good rankings on Yahoo. One of his sites had been on page one for quite some time. For around 8 months now, the site is on page 5 or completely disappears. The only thing he noted is that the www is omitted from the URL. There has been a canonical 301 in place for over a year now. So, after years of being on page one, then suddenly falling to page 5, and sometimes completely vanishing for extended periods, he is quite confused. Can you help him out? Click here!
As for the remaining posts, the first needs info on SEO in multiple languages? The second needs some SEO assistance. The third doesn't want people viewing the mobile version of his site on their pc.

Yahoo Canonical Issue
Perhaps someone could shed some light on this. I've yet to be able grasp what the problem is.
I've generally had good rankings on Yahoo. For a targeted phrase "religious jewelry", one of my sites had been on page one for quite some time. For around 8 months now, the site (chainzonline) is on page 5 or completely disappears...
religious jewelry - Yahoo! Search Results
The only thing I noted is that the www is omitted from the URL. There has been a canonical 301 in place for over a year now. I should point out, that a little better than a year ago, the site was moved from one host to another and uses a different platform. I wouldn't think that should matter.
Granted, I understand that things change over time. However, years of being on page one, then suddenly falling to page 5, and sometimes completely vanishing for extended periods, has me a bit perplexed.

Search Engine Optimization Forum Global SEO In Multiple Languages?
I have developed an informational progam which is geo-targeted in 45 languages, based on a combination of user IP and browser algorythms.
Is SEO in multiple languages possible for such a site?
Any feedback appreciated.

Search Engine Optimization Forum SEO Assistance
We are having an SEO 'drive' on our main UK website. I have some background in SEO and like to think I have a good knowledge of all that is SEO, but this latest drive has got me a bit stumped!
We seem to be doing all the right things.
regular updated relevant content
lots of relevant crawlable content
Google sitemaps - plug in and maintenance
using news and online PR to drive backlinks - using anchor text on terms etc
Keywords research and META data etc
Alt tags and crawlable text
Directory submissions
301's and redirects etc
