WebProWorld Members,

I saw this article today and thought it was pretty interesting. I'm surprised no TV station has made a show out of it yet. I guess it would be kinda cool to travel and get to try out many different things. Would you ever do something like that? I wonder what he will do in Kentucky?

Our featured post today comes from fulleffect. He says he has made hundreds of changes to his website. He made the website validate with xhtml, inserted h1 tags where there weren't any, added alt tags to images and generally made changes to the layout and some content. So, now that Google has totally the wrong versions of pages in its index, how can he flush the pages Google has for his site and start again? What are your thoughts? Click here!

As for the remaining posts, the first needs help with a database. The second ask for advice on promoting through a press release. The third needs help deciding between Wordpress, Drupal, and Joomla.

Wipe Clean My Site Listings In Google And Start Again?

Wipe Clean My Site Listings In Google And Start Again?
I have made hundreds of changes to my website as a whole, making the website validate with xhtml, inserting h1 tags where there weren't any, add alt tags to images and generally making changes to the layout and some content (only thing i didn't change were the page names).

So, now that Google has totally the wrong versions of pages in its index, how can i flush the pages google has for my site and start again?

Should i use the robots.txt file and ban all Spiders, and then start again once they are wiped, or do i just sit and wait or is there something else i can do, to get google to refresh it's cache?

Thanks in advance!

A cleaning company is looking for a data base that can be integrated into a website so that both employees and clients can manage the services provided. They provide services and products to one off customers, repeat customers and also have clients on monthly and annual contracts.

Is there a database that can be integrated into a website so that-

Customers can-
Order new products
Monitor annual contracts
Update contact details
Update delivery details
Update payment details that are integrated into a billing system

How To Promote Through Press Releases?

How to promote through press releases?

I know press releases are way good way of making your web presence. My questions are

1. How many websites will provide me a free link to my website?
2. Is there any way I can distribute it all over the internet for free?

I'm not sure of how this campaign is going to help me? I'll appreciate if anybody can help me with this.

Thanks!! Read Replies

Wordpress vs Drupal vs Joomla...

For a nonprofit site combining informational and social networking features, I am trying to figure out which is likely to be the best choice among WordPress, Drupal and Joomla.

If anyone has an informed opinion to offer, I'd really appreciate it.
