WebProWorld Members,

Who wants to see something kinda gross (and weird) today? Well today is your lucky day if so. While searching around on the net, I ran across this. Disgusting right?! I don't even get pedicures but if I did it certainly wouldn't be like that. Eww! And that's your random, weird story for today. On with the update!

Our featured post today comes from xtempore. He says that one way to get more quality links is to write articles. But, he is a bit stumped about how to proceed with this. He doesn't want to write an article that looks and sounds like nothing but an ad for his product. So, he wants to know what would he write about, without it just sounding like an ad? He ask if the whole idea of articles somewhat limited to people selling SEO services? Click here!

As for the remaining posts, the first is having trouble getting their images in Google Image Search. The second ask about site links and Google indexing. The third is working on securing their ecommerce site's transactions.

Building Links / Articles For Products

Building Links / Articles For Products
Whenever you ask the question, "How do I get more quality links?", there are a couple of ideas that always appear amongst the suggestions.

One is that you write articles, and the other is to post comments in forums etc.

The only problem is that whenever I read anyone's ideas on this, it is usually in relation to their business of selling SEO or other website design services. That's great for those whose business is SEO and whose client base are fairly internet-literate already, but what if you are just trying to sell a product?

Take for example the site I am currently working on, http://www.oam2.com

It is an online appointment diary.

Whilst I appreciate the concept of writing articles etc, I am a bit stumped about how to proceed with this.

Sure I could write an article about all the great features of the product, but that's not really an article. It's an ad. Nobody is going to go, "Wow! What a great article. I think I should syndicate that."

Problem With Google Image Search

Our website ( because I do not have over 10 posts on this forum, it stops me from putting proper address, but it is dancesportinfo then period then net ) displays results and photos from dancing competitions. We have over 300,000 photos. Each photo has an alt tag, comment with couple name and competition name, but still in google image search those photos cannot be find.

Other photos (which are part of an article for example) do sometimes appear.

For example try Bryan Watson as a search key (they are multiple world champions) - google does not point to our site, while we have 613 photos of them (try search on our site). Any ideas?

Site Links And Google Indexing

I've been asked by my directors why when you google our competitors they have site links and when you google us we have none.

I think I have found out the reason but I don't know how to go about fixing this.

If you google the company name it brings up a page within the site not the homepage itself. The most powerful page is showing instead because of a university link that I acquired last year. I've changed the title tags to include the keywords that I want the homepage to pop up for and I know that most of our links point directly at our homepage.
