WebProWorld Members,

TGIF right? I don't know if I should be happy about this weekend or not. I have my big move this weekend. Ok, well it's not that big, but still, a pain. I will just be glad to get it over with! Hope your weekend will be better than mine! On with the update...

Our featured post today comes from kgun. He recently made an animated favicon on his site. But, there are some problems. It is an animated rotating globe, but only FF is the only browser showing it as animated. It doesn't show at all in IE 6. Opera shows a static icon, and only opera shows it on sub pages. Can you figure out the what is causing this? Click here to help!

As for the remaining posts, the first wants to know how you are planning for IE 8. The second is looking for an SEO checklist. The third wants to know how to hide content from specific countries.

How Are You Planning For IE8?

I've been reading articles about how many websites will not render properly on IE8. Then others say that it is just more standards-compliant than IE7, and if you're following the standards, you should be okay.

I test my sites on IE6, IE7, Firefox 2 and 3, at a minimum, with no problems.

I discussed with a designer friend of mine, and he said I should immediately put the following in the header of all my site pages to ensure there are no problems for now:

I am creating a new website and was curious to know what all things are needed to check as the basic guidelines in terms of SEO, while developing the website.

All the comments are highly appreciated.

How To Hide Website Content?

If I don't want to receive web traffics from the specific countries then how can I hide website contents for those countries search engines/IP's?

For example if I want to target only Google Australia and don't want to get traffics from other countries especially from UK,USA countries, so is it possible to restrict outside visitor to visit our site?

If yes then will it have any negative effect on Site from the view point of SEO?
