WebProWorld Members,
Just when we think the winter weather has gone away... it started snowing again today. Which of course, is just perfect for when I move this weekend. It is going to be in the 30's and snowing. Fun times huh? Oh well, it will be over soon. :) On we go...
Our featured post today comes from xtempore. He says that his users frequently ask questions, and after several months of answering the same question, he has decided to build an FAQ. But the question is how? The site primarily uses PHP, and MySQL. He could build it from scratch. But should he? He says he
looked at FAQMasterFlex, but it looks a bit limited. Should he just use a blog? What would you do? Click here!
As for the remaining posts, the first asks about deleting some pages from his site. The second discusses using Flash and HTML. The third ask about image file names in regards to SEO.

How Would You Build An FAQ?
Our users frequently ask questions, and after several months of answering often the same question, I have decided to "bite the bullet" and build an FAQ.
But the question is how?
The site primarily uses PHP, and MySQL, and I certainly COULD build from scratch. But should I? After all I don't want to reinvent the wheel.
I know what I want the FAQ to look like...
* It should have Questions.
* And of course Answers to go with them.
* The Questions should be able to be grouped into categories.
* It should be Searchable (so questions should have keywords/tags)
* It should look like part of the main site (at least to some extent), so needs to be configurable.
* And ideally it should be search engine friendly too.
I looked at FAQMasterFlex, but it looks a bit limited, and I saw no sign of searchability.

Search Engine Optimization Forum Is It Ever Wise To Delete Pages From Your Site?
I am an attorney based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I started a website about 10 years ago for the general practice of law. I have added many pages to the site, covering many areas of law. On the site, I had also included areas of law for which I do not practice, like divorce, custody, child support, etc... solely because another attorney in my office could handle those cases.
Well, my practice has transformed such that I only handle consumer matters now, like credit card defense and lemon law. My question is, should I remove the divorce related pages from the site because they are "off topic" to the areas of law that I practice now?
They really do not generate alot of traffic, maybe a few visits per month, (no revenue at all) if that. My thoughts are that the site should focus on the limited areas of law that I do practice in, for SEO purposes. Keep only the pages that are relevant to me.

Search Engine Optimization Forum Another Flash/HTML Question
My hosting client has a site with one big flash file which was created by another developer. Nice looking site, but with a recent redo, he wanted to keep some small elements of Flash in the site but also wanted it redone with more HTML.
The designer didn't listen and redeveloped the site several months aga into one big flash file and consequently it's turned into a messy argumentitive situation between designer and site owner. The site suffered a big hit in SERPs with the recent redo which fueled the fire, but the SERPs have recovered - somewhat. In the aftermath, the client asked me to look at the analytics stats to see what kind of activity has been going on with the site, but they are really kind of useless because it's pretty much a one-file-site.
He proposed that he might want us to develope an HTML version of the flash site so user could choose to view flash or HTML.

Search Engine Optimization Forum Image File Names
I have searched previous posts and did not find this topic, so I apologize if it has been discussed elsewhere.
My question is: Does naming images with a related keyword have any SEO value? For example, if I am selling personalized mini footballs, does naming the product image personalize-mini-football.jpg have any merit?
