WebProWorld Members,
Straight out of the weird news section today, comes a story about a guy and his eyebrows. Yep, that's right. Apparently this guy shaved off his 3-inch long eyebrows for charity. Odd huh? Why he let them grow that long in the first place, who knows. But, at least it has generated some money for charity right? :)
Our featured post today comes from oman. He is about to launch a new website based on a 6 year research project. This project is a lower extremity biomechanics concept called CT band syndrome or CTBS. The web site will act as a cafe of sorts for providers and students to come and interact with this new biomechanics concept. There will be training programs available both on-line and at seminars. He really wants to make the site as open and as interactive as possible. Are there any new Web 2.0 tools that would help? And does anyone know of a good open source software Wiki? Click here!
As for the remaining posts, the first has some questions about switching from https to http. The second wants to know about add-on domains. The third needs help transferring a blog from Blogger to Wordpress.

New Medical Website Looking for
Web 2.0 Methods of Interactive Study
I'm a doctor and about to launch a new web site based on a 6 year research project. This project is a lower extremity biomechanics concept called CT band syndrome or CTBS. The web site will act as a cafe of sorts for providers and students to come and interact with this new biomechanics concept. There will be training programs available both on-line and at seminars. What I'd really like to do is to make the site as open and as interactive as possible.
I'm familiar with Wiki's. The concept of Wiki would work well to engage students and engage practitioners. But are there any new Web 2.0 tools being used that would help to make this site more open and interactive?
Links to examples would be really helpful.
And does anyone know of a good open source software Wiki?
Many thanks in advance.

Hi everyone, I was wanting to get some comments and suggestions for my website OwT PHP Contact Form
I know it still has some minor validation errors, but I'm fixing those soon. A few of them I can't fix or stuff doesn't work.

Search Engine Optimization Forum HTTPS to HTTP, How Do I Update Google?
I made the mistake, when I bought an SSL certificate of linking and converting my whole ecommerce site to use HTTPS, not just the check out, every page.
At the time i thought customers looked out for the padlock and it would be a good idea.
Now, i think otherwise, as half of Google is indexed with HTTPS and the other HTTP.
And on another note, it is also giving me problems with the homepage....

Hosting Issues Add On Domains - What Are They, Exactly?
I've noticed some web hosting providers offer what's called "add-on" domains. And the sales pitch is usually something like "get unlimited domains with one account."
I'm not sure if I understand what's going on here. I suspect there is some type of sub domain functionality going on in the background - but it appears that I can set up what appears to be 100 different websites with unique domain names.
If this is the case, why would I ever pay separate hosting fees for separate websites? I think I'm missing something.

Search Engine Optimization Forum Stuck on FTP From Blogger to WP Issue
I transferred a Blogger blog that I've operated since 2004 to Wordpress. I just noticed the other night, that all of my posts from previous years don't show up as they do when I make a post in the current WP theme.
Current posts show (in the address bar) www. my site.com/my post title, but the older imported posts show up as the number of the post: www. my site.com/1 or www. my site.com/2 and on and on for hundreds of posts.
Is this something to 1.) worry about? 2.) something that can and should be fixed? 3.) something I can fix myself (I'm not a programmer - just a blogger)?
