Has anyone been watching Shark Week on the Discovery channel? I find it all fascinating. I used to want to be a marine biologist or something along those lines, but I figured that was too long to be in school. I also think it would be cool to be one of the trainers you see swimming with the dolphins and whales at SeaWorld. Anyways, back to real life... on with the update... :)
Our featured post today comes from nashville who is ranked really well for all his keywords except 1 and is #7 for that word.
Would it be easier to get to #1 with a domain that is only 6 months old that I own that is FOCUSED on the keyword OR would it be easier to get to #1 with his current domain where he is #7 for that keyword. In addition to getting to #1 of course one advantage is that he could create a single site focused on the subject matter that would also increase conversions? Click here!
As for the remaining three posts, the first discusses AVG Anti-Virus. The second has some questions about hosting in Australia. And the third has a 301 question.

 Single Keyword Target
I am ranked really well for all my keywords except 1 and I am #7 for that word.
Would it be easier to get to #1 with a domain that is only 6 months old that I own that is FOCUSED on the keyword OR would it be easier to get to #1 with my current domain where I am #7 for that keyword.
In addition to getting to #1 of course one advantage is that I could create a single site focused on the subject matter that would also increase conversions? With my current site I have two purchase goals and it might be better to have one clear goal?

AVG Anti Virus
I had said in a previous post (a long time ago - which I can no longer find).. That we had the network version of AVG Anti Virus - and it was quite good.
Since then we have "upgraded" to the Anti Malware version.
I am very disappointed with this. First off, it uses a LOT of extra system resources - so 256MB of RAM in your Windows XP PC is no longer an option, 512MB is an absolute minimum.
Second, and more importantly - it doesn't stop malware!

Hosting In Australia
We are looking to set up a website in Australia which I will be managing from the UK. And am trying do find a decent host (e.g. Linux; good customer care, good uptime, no nasty surprises! I'd prefer unmetred bandwidth although for the first couple years we won't be expecting a huge amount of traffic...)
Does anyone have any recommendations?
I've found a few review sites but they all seem a little biased to me, and with so many negative comments about a number of the seemingly top web hosts I'm finding it difficult to make a choice...

Move The Page Or 301 It?
Need a quick answer to this people!
My client has a home page with the option to enter the commercial or the residential side of their site.
I've been looking at the analytics and site structure etc and I've recommended they remove the option home page and have the residential home page as the new main home page (with plenty of obvious links to the commercial area). They've agreed that this would be best and now i need to start moving the structure around.
