WebProWorld Members,

So, I ran across this story today about parents in New Zealand not being able to name their kid "Talula Does The Hula". Funny right? The article says a couple other names that were blocked were "Fish and Chips" and "Yeah Detroit". Now that's just weird. Do you have any "unique" names you wish you could name your kids? Or, any you wish you could change your name to?

Our featured post today comes from inertia who is about to do his first ever press release for a client. Inertia has read a few tutorials and bits of advice, but also wants help from all you intelligent people in WPW. He wants to know if anyone knows of any good tutorials or literature he should read? Has anyone used prweb.com before? How did you find it? Which service did you use? Click here!

As for the remaining three posts, the first has a moral dilemma. The second has a question about iframes. And the third is looking for some layout software.

First Press Release Ever - Need Feedback
First Press Release Ever - Need Feedback

I am ashamed to say that I have never done a press release for a client! But, that is about to change. The company that I've recently started working for produce a lot of off-line press releases for our clients. All of these will now be forwarded to me to send out to the online press. I've read a few tutorials and bits of advice about the best course of action but now i want to get some words of wisdom from the WPW crew...

Does anyone know of any good tutorials or literature which i should read?

Also, has anyone used prweb.com before? How did you find it? Which service did you use?

Moral Dilemma

It is my belief that SEO and Online marketing are hard work but the more you put in the more you will eventually get out.

Those clients of mine that use me for their marketing to obtain good organic positions have been very happy regardless of the amount of hard work they and I have had to put in to get them there.

Now I feel I have been wasting my time.

One of my clients drew my attention to a small web company locally that makes all of my hard work look redundant and worthless.

Using iFrames To Deliver Content

I am in a bit of a dilema and would like some advice.

This is the scenario - I have a website offering car desktop wallpapers. This is coupled with a blog. The wallpapers side of the site is using a dedicated script and the blog side is using Wordpress (both sitting in their own directories). The blog side contains press releases, editorials and articles etc.

Witihin the wallpapers section, I would like to include the official press release for a particular car on the page where the thumbnail of the car wallpaper appears. In every single case I will have multiple wallpapers of the same car available and would (ideally) like to inlcude the official document on each thumbnail page. This adds value to the user as they do not need to navigate away from the page for this information (which also appears in the blog side - my initial idea was to link to it).

Layout And Print Software

I am looking for software, either free or for purchase, that can be used to layout and print text, but that is hosted on my site.

Basically, I make invitations and want to offer my visitors a method of typing in their text, choosing fonts types and colours, formatting the text (paragraphs, etc) and then being able to print this out from my website. Also the ability to save their file on my site would be great. right now I've only been able to get a quote to have this software made from scratch, but was hoping to purchase or download something out of the box.

I would be happy if there was something even close, even if it doesn't offer all this functionality, only some.

Anyone found something like this?
