WebProWorld Members,
Anyone been to the LA Museum of Natural History? Apparently they have "real" dinosaurs. Check it out here. Museums certainly didn't have anything like that when I was little. All I got to see was a bunch of bones. Hehe. Anyways, pretty cool huh?
Our featured post today comes from flexifly who is seeing a fluctuating in ranking for a single keyword. If you go to Google and type in "arch supports" he ranks number one and has for some time. If you type in "arch support" he has typically ranked number four. Recently he has seen his ranking for "arch support" disappear completely and then reappear 4 to 5 days later while "arch supports" maintains its ranking consistently. Can you explain what is happening?
As for the remaining three posts, the first is looking for digital publishing software. The second has an extension question. And the third has some questions about changing over to a CMS.

Fluctuating Rank For A Single Keyword
I'm a small internet business owner and my website is feetrelief (.com) Buy Arch Supports Foot Supports & More . I mainly sell arch supports augmented with some other foot care products.
I have been in business for 11 years and have some very strong inbound links. If you go to Google and type in "arch supports" (without the quotations and in plural) I rank number one and have for some time. If you type in "arch support" (singular and again without the quotations) I have typically ranked number four.
Recently (the last six to eight weeks... give or take) I have seen my ranking for "arch support" (singular) disappear completely and then reappear 4 to 5 days later while "arch supports" maintains its ranking consistently. Generally the disappearance happens over the weekend and only through the weekend but some times it extends to Monday or Tuesday.
Eventually it returns (as it has tonight) but then it disappears again. I have strong ranking for other arch support related key words such as spenco arch supports, superfeet arch supports, Lynco arch supports, Sof Sole arch supports etc... and these rankings never seem to change but "arch support" ranking seems to disappear and reappear.

http://www.holidayhomelistings.com/
I would appreciate some feedback on my site.
The website is a "holiday rental" advertising site, where owners advertise their rental property and holidaymakers look for a property to rent for their holiday/vacation.

Flash Discussion Forum Digital Publishing Software
I am looking for software that is used for e-publishing to place on my website. I have come across ebookcreator.net which the software seems to be everything I am looking for in terms of being able to track clicks and it also gives me the control of management (unlike other sites that do this for you and house it on their server). The only thing is the cost is really expensive. Anyone familiar with this software or know another that is similar that places the control in my hands and allows unlimited e-book publishing while offering the conversion to xml for upload to my server?

Extension Question
I have a questions from our Italian webmaster he can't find the answer on the Italian forums so I said I'd post it here:
" URL replacer, how useful is it for indexing the site"?
He's mainly talking about dynamic pages (aspx) with query strings and replacing these with simpler URLs (or not!). I've read conflicting opinions about whether these sort of pages with relatively long extensions (in this case from a database) are penalized or not in Google. My feeling is not, but it would be good to get you guys' opinions!

Search Engine Optimization Forum Query On Site Changeover To A CMS
We are looking at a long overdue site upgrade from a hand coded version to possibly a CMS for ease of mainenance.
The site is mainly about "presence" and is not a "store front" to directly sell/market.
However, it ranks very well for its search term/s and sits on top google position. I notice that we take out top position for almost all likely search terms in our niche and even a few odd ones.
OK its not large but we are there.
Basically as I understand it, any CMS will have totally new page urls and we will have to carefully go through tags etc. Im pretty scared of what will happen if/when we redesign.
