WebProWorld Members,
Has anyone checked out mygallons.com yet? Apparently it's a website that allows you to purchase gas at current prices and then fill up later when prices are higher. WebProNews has the story here. If any of you have tried it or plan to, let me know. I would like to find out if it is just a "too good too be true" type of thing. Anyways, have a wonderful evening!
Our featured post today comes from intronuma who has a client with an osCommerce website which currently resides in a subdirectory - domain.com/catalog. Hitting domain.com performs a redirect to domain.com/catalog. Is it worth moving the osCommerce installation to the domain root and 301 redirecting everything across, or is it best to leave it where it is? What are the benefits and possible implications of either method? Click here!
As for the remaining three post, the first wants to know what you think about Google crawling Flash content. The second has pages not indexed in Google. And the third is having duplicate content issues.

Worth Changing Home Directory?
I'm a web designer by trade but have been looking into SEO and have a question for you all...
My client has an osCommerce website which currently resides in a subdirectory - domain.com/catalog. Hitting domain.com performs a redirect to domain.com/catalog. Google currently has 193 pages (pretty much all of them) indexed from the site.
My question - Is it worth moving the osCommerce installation to the domain root and 301 redirecting everything across, or is it best to leave it where it is? What are the benefits and possible implications of either method?

Google Now Crawling and Indexing Flash Content
I wonder how this is going to affect finding information. I hate slow to load flash sites.
But I guess all in all it is a good thing.
And most of all I wonder how this will shake up the search results?

Added 3 New Pages, Not Indexed In Google
Looking to find out why Google isn't indexing new articles I put up on my site. The site is Peter Drew Voiceovers|Voice over talent, same-day voiceovers.
I was ranked in the top 5 for both of my top two keywords for years. I started to slip because I wasn't adding new content, so I added articles and yet they aren't being indexed. I know I also need to start a blog and link back to my site and built more back links, but if my content isn't being indexed those things aren't going to be that much help.
The last three articles in the list of links on the left hand side of the home page are not indexed. Yahoo! has indexed all of my articles, including the three newest ones: Stop the Stumbles, Sending Voiceovers Using FTP, and Voiceovers and Ever-Changing English.

Please suggest me how to protect my content.?
How search engine solve duplicate content issues?
I believe that content which is published first in web will be considered as original. Is I am correct??
