My co-worker sent me this video today and I wanted to share it with you all. It's only a few minutes long so watch through the end! Pretty crazy huh? I can paint a little but I've never done anything like that! Very cool. Be sure to head to the site to check out some other paintings... I'm just amazed. :)

Our featured post today comes from mryang, who is moving to a new server over the next month and a half. Should he worry about rankings changing on Google etc once moved to the new server? Are there any other issues he should look out for? If you can help, click here!

As for the remaining three post, the first wants some info on getting links from a video. The second has a question about duplicate content. And the third needs help with a 500 internal server error.

Moving To New Server

I currently have a managed service on a box that is now just over 3 years old.

We are ready to move to a new server and it is all scheduled to happen over the next month and a half.

There are currently 33 websites hosted on my box, we have decided to virtulise the new machine and separate the three main websites into their own areas and allocate resources appropiately - obviously the new server is far higher spec than the one we are moving from.

My question is this - should I worry about rankings changing on Google etc once we move to the new server? Are there any other issues I should look out for our advice from others that will help me through my migration.

I appreciate everyone taking time to look at the site. I tried the site report card and the only issue left is download speed, but I'm not sure the best way to correct this. Please let me know if you see any other areas that need to be corrected.

Can I Get Links From a Video?

I have uploaded a video of one of my products being used by my father, on my son - it's a riot but poorly done. Now I know how to do all of that part.

I will be making another copy w/o all the background noise and a title and my URL at beginning and end of the new video.

How do I get it (if possible) to be linked to (associated with) my website and gain any benefit from the YouTube video?

A competitor of mine made one and put a copy on their site - I ran a Google Alert on the URL and it's being linked to like crazy!

Duplicate Content w/ Downloadable PDF?

I am doing a press release for a client's website. I would like to offer the release both as an HTML page and as a downloadable PDF.

Will this get my client's site blacklisted as containing duplicate content or is it seen as a reasonable use?

My first instinct is to change the downloadable PDF slightly (I have to anyway to make it a more "formal" press release) so that it doesn't scan as a dup.
