WebProWorld Members,
Today, my co-workers and I are attending the final day of Keeneland's spring meet. Going to Keeneland is a lot of fun and really brings everyone together to have a good time. Hopefully I can win big, maybe come home with a couple million or at least break even. Talk to you guys soon, I am off to the races...
Our featured post today comes from davidweb. He discusses a strange phenomenon on Google's juggling act. He notices that Google starts displaying content from 3 or 4 months ago. He wants to know if anyone has observed these strange ranking results from Google.
As for the remaining posts, the first want to know what are the best practices for article writing SEO? The next post is looking for an expert opinion on MSN page ranking optimization. Our final post today asks if anyone knows of a way they could get sub-domains to resolve instantly.

Google the Juggler
I have been observing a quite strange phenomenon on Google in the recent few months.
Google results sometimes goes into spin, and it starts to display ranking data 3-4 months old.
Most of the new webmasters get confused over this issue and post messages on forum reporting fluctuation in rankings.
Their rankings show a drop and several users/clients report low rank, whereas it is just a reverse mode of Google.
This thing was prevalent way back in 2005-2006 which used to last 3-4 days, but these days Google drags old results for as long as 5-10 days.
I would like to know if you have observed this strange ranking results from Google.

Search Engine Optimization Forum Article Writing Best Practices for SEO?
I write my own articles so for max traffic, back links and to avoid being penalized should I:
1) only post them on my site?
2) submit to article directories ?
3) post them on my site, age them for a couple of weeks, then submit to the article directories?
4) post them on my site, age them for a couple of weeks, and then rewrite them, and send to the article directories?
5) post them on my site with images, Age them, write short blog comment with in-text link to article, rewrite them , submit to article directories?
Other suggestion in this vein?
I don't want to be wasting time and effort, and I especially don't want to get zapped for duplicate content. I need back links and I need traffic (duh who doesn't) and I would like to be a step ahead of the scrappers

MSN Search Discussion Forum Looking for Expert Opinion on MSN
I was number one on MSN for a UK term for a good two years right up until Oct 1st last year on MSN co.uk or live. I, like many others lost a lot of rankings, down to about 32 or so. I decided to give up on MSN (even though it brought me a good return) and focus on Google.
However last week I was in spain and did a search and discovered I was number 1 for my search term. So i went through all of Europe and find out that in most countries I was number one.
It now looks like I am number one in most countries except USA, UK and Germany and the OCT 1st change only applied to these 3 countries.
As this is a UK search term and only searched for in the UK and related companies only hosted in the UK, I am trying to distuguish, why the OCT 1st change only affected me for certain countries.
It would have been helpful if I could have done a link command on each countrie with MSN.
So an MSN expert please. I have more links. I have more pages.
It is a UK term only, no one in other countries use that term. (when i say UK term i dont mean it has the word UK in it. I mean it is a description of a service, that dscription is only used in the UK, other countries use a different term.)
• This service in another country would be known by another name.
• It only reflects UK sites and companies.
• My site is hosted in the UK.
• Other worldwide msn sites, love the site.
• It is on the first page of google uk also.
So why does the UK show different results to other countries on a specific UK term for UK businesses?
What was the algorythmic change?

Web Programming Discussion Forum Sub Domains at The Speed of Light?
Does anyone know of a way I could get subdomains to resolve instantly. What I'm looking for is some way of having either Apache or PHP (or something else?) resolve a subdomain, so that if someone types in:
1. blimey.domain.com, or
2. yeeha.domain.com, or
3. anythingTheYJOLLYwellLikE.domain.com
the script/page will redirect/resolve to:
1. www.domain.com/index.php?page=blimey
2. www.domain.com/index.php?page=yeeha
3. http://www.domain.com/index.php?page...YJOLLYwellLikE
etc etc...
