WebProWorld Members,
A couple co-workers and I were discussing the weather today, and one of them sent me this video. Fortunately for us, hail doesn't get that big here in Kentucky, we do get some pretty rough storms and tornadoes though. I can't imagine getting stuck in that, or having my car damaged by hail. It's crazy! Do you get bad weather where you live?
Our featured post today comes from arin2u, who wonders if you think distributing press releases are effective. He wants to know if it will help generate traffic to his site. He has a list of 50 free press release publication websites already. Should he submit on these sites? If you can contribute, click here!
As for the remaining three post, the first needs info on using javascript navigation or CSS navigation?. The second has a question about an old name vs new topic. And the third wants to know if you prefer tables or CSS.

Distributing Press Release - Will It Be Effective?
I've few questions on press release distribution.
How good it be to go for press release distribution to generate traffic for my website?
I've made a list of 50 free press release publication websites. If I submit there it will be published in their sites. But I want to target for a coverage in popular news medias across different states in US. I'm ready to pay for it.
Can anyone suggest me how can get to fulfill that? Is there anyone who give the same service?

Javascript Navigation or CSS navigation?
I really need your suggestions in making my navigation system effective.
I maintain a website with over 1k pages. The website has a drop-down navigation which is in all of the pages. The navigation is created using the CSS. The navigation items are updated regularly. So what I did is, I pasted the navigation part into a Javascript called menu.js. So what the Javascript has is document.write('menu items'). Now I just call the menu.js on top of all pages. So whenever changes is needed, I just update the menu.js. So the navigation gets updated in all the pages.
Is this a right way to do. I see many sites having the navigation in HTML itself. But my problem is whenever I make changes to the navigation, I need to upload all the files to my server which is time consuming. And I am little lazy to update the 1k pages

Search Engine Optimization Forum Old Name vs New Topic
I decided to try my hand at affiliate marketing. I signed up for an affiliate program and did a little keyword research. I did not have a domain name related to the topic so decided to use an old name to work around any age filters.
I figured anything lost in a keyword rich domain name would be made up in the age of the name. I took a list of about 1,500 keywords as a base to start with and sprinkled them out between 2 sub domain names and the main site. Now the site is still being set up so it has a long ways to go. I have to set up and write original text for 1,500 pages.
But I had a friend and SEO expert tell me that if I changed the topic of the website it would go into a filter and take months to rank.

Search Engine Optimization Forum Tables or CSS(Divs/Containers)????
Flat out do you use tables or CSS when starting new websites and why?
Do you truly think either or really make a difference in the search engines?
Why does it seem PHP/Linux/Apache people tend to use CSS, while ASP, ASP.NEt, IIS people tend to use tables?
Love to hear some solid points on both sides.
