Our featured post today comes from 1dmf, who wants to know how to determine if your articles are of any value. 1dmf wonders if he is worrying too much about this and should just release the articles and hope that visitors will come. To give your advice, click here!

 How Do You Know If Your Articles Are Of Value?
I'm trying to understand how you can evaluate a quality article.
We run an articles section, with the hope that people will find the article, like it, maybe even sign up to our RSS news feed, visit our site, and then just maybe , request one of our services.
Now I appreciate that if you produce articles, then they have to be of quality, have value to the reader, as well as being SE friendly / SEO'd (what ever that really means?)
Now if i'm to believe other forums advice that you should never do anything for SE's ,then making articles SE friendly or SEOing them is irrelivant, it's about writing quality articles, which the reader will find useful.

Do Proxy Settings Really Work?
I am running PPC campaign for my website. I use to change the proxy settings to see my ads. But the problem is ads are showing in Google at 2nd or 3rd positions where as my google adwords control panel is showing avg. positions as 7 or 8
Can anyone tell me which is accurate? Google adwords control panel or proxy setting??

Cloaking A Sitemap
Having read here that cloaking for some legitimate purpose does not seem to cause any problem with SE, I am thinking of cloaking my sitemap, using SE spider IPlists, to only allow legitimate spiders to crawl it.
This is just a counter measure against scrapers, who appear to use my sitemaps for scraping.
