WebProWorld Members,
If any of you are basketball fans, you know we are down to the last four teams. It's the first time in the history of the NCAA tournament, the four number 1 seeds advanced to the Final Four, which should make for some pretty good games on Saturday. I've not been to happy with the tournament. Kentucky went out in the first round which is just depressing for most of us here in the Bluegrass State. Are any of you all college basketball fans? Well, better get on with the update!
Our featured post today comes from nick5014, who writes a lot of content/articles for his blog site. He also submits to a few good article sites to get more interest. Doing this means he has little content on his site that is unique. Nick often hears that unique content is very important and isn't sure article sites are the right way to go. To contribute your expertise, click here!
As for the remaining three post, the first has a redirect question. The second wants info on sitemaps in robots.txt vs direct submission. And the third needs info on keywords in the address bar.

Blogs - Article Sites Or Unique Content?
I write quite a lot of content/articles for my blog site which i will then also submit to a few good article sites to get my blog more interest.
However doing this means i have little content on my site that is unique, and as i often hear that unique content is very important im not sure article sites are the right way to go.
What do you guys suggest?

Search Engine Optimization Forum
I think I Have A Redirect Question...
I had originally created my site on one host, with proprietary software and have since switched over to another host and am using their software, but it appears I can take my site with me to another host who supports it. Just to keep my site up, I quickly redid my site using frontpage & got it back up.
ANYWAY, the new software uses a database and instead of outputting html files, it outputs php files. NOW my problem is this, I have 2 versions of my site running, my homepage comes up as my new "php" site when you search, (but the cache is still the old html site) but I have a number of other links directly to inner pages on the HTML site, that come up when you do a search. change.

Search Engine Optimization Forum Sitemaps In Robots.txt vs Direct Submission
I've just started using the robots.txt file to point to my sitemap file and was wondering if it's still necessary or advisable to submit the file via the various search engines' webmaster tools pages?
I've already submitted to the map to Google, MSN and Yahoo and tend to resubmit it as the site changes but now that robots.txt has the information in it should I just leave that to update itself? Or is it quicker for me to inform the search engines directly?

Google Discussion Forum Keywords in Address Bar?
Here's something that eludes me, probably because for whatever reason I haven't thought too much about until a recent discovery for me. And I'm on a quest to see if Google is the power-that-be that controls this perplexing phenomenon.
Though I don't have the numbers, I do know a significant amount of people type keywords in the address bar of their browser, intentionally or not, instead of in Google (or their preferred search engine).

Web Out of IP Addresses?
Is it possible that we could be running out of IP addresses? If it’s true, what does that mean... |
