classic car site for sale
restored-classics.com - restored-classic.com - sumpy.com for sale.
these will probably need to be rebuilt using the current content.
I have several other projects I would like to spend my remaining years doing.
These sites have excellent potential, but realy do need more than a single webmaster to even attempt to rebuild.
they are currently in a format that suits my style and would probably totally impossible for anyone to continue in the current format.
Current income mostly comes from personal contacts and most likely would not be a transferable asset.
steady AdSense income.
My spare time is limited, so any would be purchaser will need to study the site and how it works online, as I am most unlikely to be answering questions when the answers can be found by studying the site.
traffic figures are not available.
I want to sell the site to someone who will develop and grow it.

Nice sites. Do you have a figure in mind for your 2 classic car sites together?

I tell you what Tubby, you have a gem in the rough there. I know that you said you're looking for other things to do, but from the looks of it, I don't think you see your own potential! Its a pretty large niche industry. By me there are car shows for these types of cars every week so it has a very loyal following.

Re: classic car site for sale
CW. I do see the potential. The sites seem fairly solid, I seem to be able to make huge errors and the traffic still comes through.
My problem is I currently run an Outback Hotel in the middle of nowhere, My working day starts a 6 am and finishes around midnight. I enjoy work (well actually I love it). . But I have things to build etc . I need to create some more time for my day (difficult thing to do)
I have looked at some forms of partnership, but this has been a little problematic. Mostly would be buyers do not understand the situation of free adverts. As a rule they want to create a log in type system where ads are not checked and users can place ads wherever they like. I do not think this would work. The site works because my users can simply access one page that has all they need to look at. (also cuts down page views) . . Most would be partners would have my users hitting 7 to 9 pages per visit.
I will plod along until I find either someone who I can work with (very difficult) or I sell the sites.
Mostly would be buyers would kill the site 'dead' within thirty days. They do not understand why it works.
The best offer to date is US$450.oo With a request that I help them over the next three months to automate the site.
But . . . The for sale sign increases the traffic by one or two hits a week.

$450 is way too low in either USD or Australian. How many uniques per day is it getting?

Yes I know that. I got a paypal payment for more than that from an advertiser this week. and Google pays me a lot more than that each month.
I no longer read my stats CW, I simply count incoming ads and user feedback. These seem to provide me enough information to steer the sites. reading stats is far too time consuming for me these days. .
I think the sites will not sell in their current format, buyers want automated sites.
I shall plod along. .
