How much for a database driven website?
Nope this is not a contest.
I would like to know what you charge for a database driven website. I don't do database sites, but my very first boss from 1989 has now a small design shop. (Yep we're still buddies till today. I worked with him for 6 mths doing drawings etc. Then I left for New Zealand etc etc).
Anyways he had a client come to him wanting a website for the company. He called me today and asked if I could do it and I said I know people who would be interested.
The only prob with that is if any of you want the project you are gonna have to do it "under his company's name/logo." I want to try to change thjat part of the deal tho if the client is willing to meet me too somehow.
What would you charge for this website? The site will have info on malaysia, News, online company magazine, Customer Portal, etc.
The site needs to be made and my former boss will send teh jpg images for index page etc.
Also show me samples of your work.

You will probably need to supply a little more information in order to get an accurate quote from anyone. You can also try several sites that specialize in freelancers.
guru.com
sriptlance.com
sologig.com
elance.com
projectspring.com
They all have knowledegable people and varied skill levels as well as pricing. You will definitely need to have a complete and exact job description for anyone who you will want to do this though. The more information you give the more accurate the quote and the less surprises for you and the coder.
Hope this helps.

Some Important questions
There's more than several cost factors involved so some questions would need to be answered in the following categories:
Hosting: Who's hosting the site? The client? Then hosting cost is not much of an issue. A third party? If so have they chosen one already or can I choose/recommend one? i.e. I can get hosting for a year with database support and the domain registration thrown in for just under $100 US.
Which database and which web server platform? This is related to the host question. It also concerns whether the client has a preference. For example the host I used as an example will support a MySQL database and PHP as part of the package. If the client requires ASP well this host can support that too but for a little more cost.
OK, let's just throw out a startup of about $100-125 US. After that there's what the freelancer will charge to design and develop the site. That's where the specs on what you want aer really important. It could run you anywhere from $300-600 for something really simple to $5000-10000 for some complicated things (I say this without knowing the full scope). What I like to do sometimes is quote a project in pieces after discussing with the client what is absolutely necessary to go live and what might be delayed. That gives the client the choice and budget flexibility aftet they find out how much their perfect world site will be.
Hope this helps.

Hello!
My name is Alex Yuruts, and I am representing Intetics Co, web and software development company.
It`s difficult to estimate the budget of your project. All depends on your specification.
Please contact us via e-mail contact@intetics.com or website to discuss your project in details.

Simple Answer
Ok, the simple answer to your question is that there are three parts to your site request ...
1) The design (what the site looks like)
2) The content (what's in the site)
and ...
3) The engine (a database to run it).
Ignoring #1 and #2, a complete content management system for a standard web site, with online WYSIWYG editor for page content, news, events, etc. will cost $750+
I have a great ASP based system called Advantage that will manage your web site for you, at a cost of $750.
If you would like to learn more, please let me know.
