Actually I would like to own a new blog. I heard wordpress.org provides such. Before I buy it, I just want to make sure whether their services and prices are effective and reasonable. Would it be good to get a blog from there? Or is there any other who provides such services?

Wordpress is free to install.

Just register a domain (costs you under $10 from GoDaddy) and avail web hosting from reliable companies (Eg BlueHost). They provide one click Wordpress installation service. Just use it and you get the wordpress blog. That's it.
